Some 500 monks are facing in this moment arbitrary detention as Chinese governement locked them since the 15th March 2013 in Tonkyab monastery in Golok Gabde for interrogation, intimidation and "re-education", even if they done nothing at all and even if there is no possible charges against them.
Telephone and internet lines with all the region of Golok are still blocked by Chinese authorities. Nobody can call to Tonkyab monastery, even in local call. Still, the lay population of Gabde can communicate with other regions in China, so we got some more news about arrest of writer Tsitsen, monk from Tongkyab monastery.
He was arrested on 11th March 2013. The police searched the house of his mother on 20th March and took a red silk pouch, traditional cover for precious books in Tibet. So, the local population think that in this red silk pouch there was a book "Breath of Truth" written by Tritsen, dedicated to self-immolated lama Soepa from Tonkayb monastery. On 20th March police also took Tritsen's step father Tashi for interrogation. Now, Tashi is back home as he ignored completely Tritsen's activities.
So many inocent people are suffering from Chinese repression in this moment in Gabde. Please, pray for them.
