The democracy became very important issue inside Tibet, and especially in Kirti monastery, where a Tibet widely famous writer Go Sherab Gyatso left the monastery to denounce the censorship instaured in Kirti monastery by its Educational Committee.
In this official notice issued on May 21, 2013, the Committee stated that if anybody inside Kirti monastery wants to edit a book or a newspaper, he needs to get first the permission of that Commitee. If not, he will have to leave the monastery.
On June 4, Go Sherab Gyatso wrote a pamphlet "Helpless talking", explaining why he is opposed to this procedure. The Commitee answered him that they will stop working and let him their place.
On June 9, Go Sherab Gyatso wrote a new letter, "I pay you my helpless respect of goodbye". He explained why he is leaving Kirti monastery, where he entered at the age of 10 and spent 28 years of his life.
He left Kirti monastery on June 10, 2013.
The master of discipline of Kirti monastery than asked to Educational Committe to explain why they stoped their work . Monastic authorities of Kirti monastery stated that Go Sherab Gyatso was never obliged to leave the monastery.
