Editor of engaged Tibetan music and films arrested in Chengdu on May 7, 2013:
Padma Rigzin, former monk of Golok Sertha monastery, born in Merima township of Ngaba district, was arrested after being warned by Chinese police to stop publishing engaged Tibetan music and films. Padma Rigzin started to sing from 1982 and mainly on lyrics based on the religious poetry of Golok Sertha Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok. He stop singing and founded in 2008 his edition society to help other singers and filmmakers to work for Tibetan issue. His edition house, situated near Tibetan market in Chengdu, was closed by Chinese authorities on May 7, 2013. Secret police took Padma Rigzin with them and nobody has any information about him since that time.
