The prison Chushul in Lhasa reagion saw two more...

Two more Tibetan monks released from the prison Chushul near Lhasa: after 5 years of prison Soepa and Lobsang Ngoedup were freed. They were arrested in 2008, after a great peaceful protest in front of central temple of Lhasa, Tsuklakhang. As many people raised protest slogans during the commemoration of Upraising day of 10th March, 14 monks were arrested at that occasion and condamned to different longterme prison sentences.
This year, as a result of campaigne against arbitrary detention, after 5 years of prison, hardship and torture, those two monks from Kardze region, Sershul district, were released. The monk Soepa is from Minge monastery, while the monk Lobsang Ngoedup is from Poenpo monastery. Lobsang Ngoedup was recently hospitalised in Xiling for deep depression resulted from torture he endured in Chushul prison near Lhasa.d : after 5 years of prison Soepa and Lobsang Ngoedup were freed.
