This is the picture of besieged monastery Tonkyab in Golok Gabde. Out of 500 monks living there, Chinese authorities expulsed 400, since one monk, Tritsen, published a book "Breath of Truth" about reasons of self-immolations in Tibet. The head of monastery explained to Chinese that it was the individual act , and promissed them to keep social peace, but Chinese started the repression, asking them to confess that they helped Tritsen and to make critics against him. So, monks told them it will provoque a big demonstrations in Gabde, if they continue this repression. Some hundreds of Chinese officials then besieged monastery, but monks refused them hospitality in monastery or in the monastic hotel, so they were obliged to pitch the tentes around. "Re-education" is also taking place outside of monastery. Chinese officials are asking monks to admit their mistake for prayer that they organised on the Uprising day of the 10th March, but they still didn't get names of responsibles for this manifestation.
